Having been through different sides of the ad world since Adobe Flash was a thing, Ewan self-proclaimed that all those years helped mould him into what he is today - a hybrid of a creative who doesn't only dream of kickass TV spots but how the same idea can be translated into packaging design, social content or window display, all in one sit. He also strongly believes great ideas derive from unexpected, sometimes strange insights or observations—generic insights = generic ideas, therefore, generic results.

Over the years he has led teams cracking ‘big leggy idea’ campaigns to effective small activations ideas for multinational brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, Oreo and Sloggi, to name a few. He is also the "f***er who should've gotten fired” (according to twitter) to coin the highly contentious term #slofie, yes, that Slo-mo selfie thing for iPhone 11.

Outside of striving for creative happiness, Ewan takes overly art-directed (read: vsco filters) street photography and thanks to COVID, started picking up drawing too. 

If you must know: He was born & bred in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and completed his foundation locally before moving Down Under to further his studies - Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) at Melbourne Swinburne University of Technology. Having spent most of his career locally, he took a stab at running his own design house in Singapore before he packed and moved along with his AJs collection to Shanghai in 2016 and the rest, as they say, is...whatever!
