Apple has partnered with global music icon Jackson Wang to debut China’s first-ever Shot on iPhone music video — a bold artistic statement and intimate portrait of the artist’s evolution.
Set to Jackson’s latest track Let Loose, the film was co-directed by Jackson and acclaimed filmmaker Ojun Kwon, blending personal storytelling with cinematic craft. Shot entirely on iPhone 17 Pro, it showcases Apple’s most advanced camera system — from the 48MP Telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom to silky 4K/120fps slow motion — capturing everything from kinetic dance to quiet introspection with striking precision.
At its heart, Let Loose reflects Jackson’s creative rebirth while highlighting the iPhone as more than a device: a powerful co-creator in the hands of artists. The launch encompasses social, behind-the-scenes content, and major outdoor takeovers in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Tianjin, with Jackson himself sharing tips on unlocking the phone’s full potential in how-to clips.
Released September 12, following a teaser, the project marks a new chapter for Jackson after MAGICMAN 2, which earned him the highest Billboard 200 debut for a Chinese solo artist. For Apple, it signals how iPhone continues to push the boundaries of mobile filmmaking and authentic self-expression.
